17th Century Haversack Travel Bag

Modeled after the Middle age Haversack that survives to this day, these haversacks were used more by people who could afford a better bag. This canvas haversack is made of double cotton canvas, half hand sewn half machine. With leather buckled straps for holding a bedroll or blanket, it also has a canvas adjustable buckled shoulder strap. Large compartment for clothing and a flap closure compartment with Jute twine braided closure for the equipment compartment. Both openings are reinforced with a red cotton edging. Flap and leather straps are used to hold bedroll as pictured.
